2020 Soil Sampling Rig Challenges

The soil sampling season is getting into full swing. This means it is about that time of year when your soil sampling rig becomes a second home.

We at AGVISE Laboratories know that innovation starts with ideas, and some of the best ideas we have shared over the years to make soil sampling easier have come from customers.

Idea from Wilbur-Ellis Rolla: mounting a PVC pipe to the hydraulic cylinder to store probes between fields and recharge WD-40

To foster the cross-pollination of innovative soil sampling setups, we want to provide a platform to share ideas that make soil sampling easier. Send us your innovative soil sampling rig ideas on Twitter, using the hashtag #ThinkinRig and tagging @AGVISE. If you do not have a Twitter account, you can send a picture to our sales staff (see contact information below) so we can share the idea on Twitter.

A mud flap keeps a nice barrier between the outdoors and the soil sampler

Our second soil sampling rig-themed contest is #SoiledRig, where we are looking for the messiest, dirtiest soil sampling rig out there (interior or exterior). You spend a lot of time in the field, and we want to reward those who put in the extra hard work in rain, sleet, and snow. Submit your picture on Twitter, using the hashtag #SoiledRig and tagging @AGVISE. If you do not have a Twitter account, you can send a picture to our sales staff (see contact information below) so we can share your hard-earned fame on Twitter. We are by no means hoping for 2019-level mud!

The contests are open now through December 31st, 2020. The winners of the #ThinkinRig and #SoiledRig contest will both receive $100. The winners will be chosen by our sales staff.

Let the games begin! We will see you on Twitter.
