Post Cards Give a Helpful Reminder
Some people are extremely organized and are done Christmas shopping by Thanksgiving and others are lucky if they finish shopping before Santa shows up! Getting in touch with your growers to remind them to soil test each fall takes some organization, and AGVISE wants to help. AGVISE has two posters promoting soil testing, and you should have received them by the time you read this newsletter. We have provided the "Soil Testing" posters for a number of years, but this year we have sent posters to all customers to promote soil testing.
Something completely new this year is a colorful post card, which you will be receiving (see figure). One side of the post card is a colorful reminder of why soil testing is important. The other side of the post card has your company name, address and phone number. There is a message on the post card that tells the grower to call you to sign up for soil testing. These postcards are easy to use. You just write in the growers name and address, put a $0.23 cent stamp on them and drop them in the mail. Any AGVISE customer that did more than 50 soil samples last year will be getting a packet in the mail with 50 post cards and two "Soil Testing Posters." If you need additional postcards, or you did not receive them, please contact Gail (701-587-6010) at our Northwood office.
We hope these postcards will be an easy way for you to promote soil testing and remind growers to start soil testing early so you can get the sampling done before winter sets in. Who knows, maybe you will even have time to do a little Christmas shopping early this year!
